What’s Happening at Grace

Volunteer in Grace Kids in August!

So many of you have stepped up to the plate and volunteered in our kids’ ministry this summer. Just a few opportunities remain in the last few weeks before the new school year begins. If you can help, sign up online here. For more information, contact Grace Kids pastor Erin Winston at erin@graceraleigh.org.

Annual Back to School Drive – August 4-18

Our Annual Back to School Drive is underway! Thanks to your generosity, the backpacks for local students have already been spoken for, but we still need help collecting classroom supplies for teachers at Fox Road Elementary School. Last year, we donated enough supplies to last the entire school year – and we can do that again this year! Contact Lane Morgan at lanemorgan1@mac.com or Karen Latta at karenhlatta@gmail.com with questions.

Discover Grace – August 18

If you’ve been attending Grace for awhile and would like to learn more about how to get plugged in and what it means to be a Grace partner, then plan on staying after the service on August 18 for Discover Grace. Email Julie Sauls at julie@graceraleigh.org to sign up.

Grace Serves – September 1

On September 1, we’ll be replacing our usual worship service with a morning of community service for our 3rd annual Grace Serves.

We’ll begin the morning by gathering together for a short time of prayer at 10am. We’ll then split into three projects:

  1. At Rise Against Hunger, packaging meals to be shipped within the U.S. or overseas.
  2. At Fox Road Elementary School, laying mulch, weeding and other outdoor chores.
  3. Right at Grace, making blankets for Raleigh nonprofit SAFEchild.

Sign-up here.
