10.06 | HURRICANE HELENE RESPONSE

Grace, thank you so much to all who were able to help donate to this first round of supplies for those impacted by Hurricane Helene. All donations were delivered to Dogwood Country Club, then taken to Charlotte to be transported as part of a larger effort to WNC. We know that this will be a long road of recovery, and we will continue to look for opportunities for our Grace family to serve our neighbors in need in the weeks and months to come. For now we just want to say that we are so grateful for the generosity of our Grace partners and how you continue to show up to care for our neighbors near and far! In the meantime, monetary donations can still be made to support aid efforts. Two such ways are through the American Red Cross (if you donate through the Chick-fil-A app, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will match your donation to double the impact) or through theNorth Carolina Disaster Relief Fund. (And as always, please make sure that other organizations to which you might decide to donate are vetted and legitimate.)

10.29 | GK TRUNK-OR-TREAT
We are so excited to have the opportunity to come together as a Grace Kids Family and have some fun! On Tuesday, October 29th, from 5:30-7:30pm, we’ll have our GK Trunk-or-Treat extravaganza! We like to put our own Grace Raleigh spin on it by inviting all parents to bring your kids (and you if so inclined) in costume and decorate your car. We will provide the candy and dinner! You can find more details and registration HERE. Registration will close on Friday, October 25th.

ALSO, if any partners would like to help out by donating candy for this event, we’d greatly appreciate it! Please drop off candy at Grace by Sunday, October 27th. Thank you!

11.03 | MORNING OF WORSHIP
Worship is our response to who God is and what He has done for us. When we worship, it glorifies God and shapes our hearts toward, and focuses our minds on, the things of God – bringing hope, joy, peace, and rest. On November 3rd, we will pause and spend our morning worshipping together. The beauty in corporate worship is not only the songs we sing, but the fact that we sing them together. We hope you’ll join us as we declare and celebrate the greatness of our God and all He has done for us.

11.07
 | BIG NIGHT OUT @ AJ FALL FLING

Two things we love doing at Grace are hanging out with each other and supporting our ministry partners. So we decided for our Big Night Out this fall, why not do both?!

On Thursday evening, November 7th, one of our international ministry partners, Addis Jemari, will host their Fall Fling at Salty Turtle Beer Co. (13100 Falls of Neuse Road). This is the perfect opportunity for us to gather as a church, invite some friends, catch up over some food and drinks – and support AJ while doing it! There will be a silent auction, live music, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, 2 drink tickets provided at the door (cash bar for subsequent drinks), and time to shop at the AJ Marketplace. You can also purchase food from Town Hall Burger next door if you so choose.

There is no charge for the event, but you must RSVP HERE to help plan for food and drinks. The AJ Fall Fling is a “floating” event, so you’re welcome to drop by any time from 5:30-9:00pm. Grace will provide childcare for those attending as part of Big Night Out – however, please note though that childcare will be provided from 6:00-8:00pm only, at the church. Please register separately for childcare HERE.

For information about Addis Jemari, who they are and what they do, you can learn more HERE. We hope to see you at this awesome BNOxAJ crossover event!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

GRACE GROUPS

We are launching our fall semester of Grace Groups and we hope you’ll join one! These are the BEST way to build community at Grace. In fact, we like to say that if you aren’t in a group then you aren’t experiencing all that God has for you at Grace. To learn more and to view our Fall Catalog, check out our Grace Groups page HERE. If you have any questions or would like some help in knowing where to connect, contact Erin Winston.

WE NEED A NEW VOLUNTEER!
For nearly 20 years, a faithful volunteer has cleaned the church every week – rain, wind, or shine. But that faithful volunteer is officially retiring from duty, which means we need a new volunteer to help clean the church on Friday or Saturday of each week. So if you’ve got time during your week, and you’d like to contribute a bit of that time to Grace, we could greatly use you! Please email Julie Sauls if you’re interested, and she will get you some additional information.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT NORTH RALEIGH MINISTRIES

One of our local ministry partners, North Raleigh Ministries, recently opened a new food pantry and crisis center. Thank you all again for helping to support this ministry, as we recently delivered 86 jars of peanut butter & jelly to the new food pantry! You can continue to help support the food pantry in two ways – volunteering and dropping off donations. You can also support NRM by donating items to their two thrift shops (2821 Brentwood Rd. & 9650 Strickland Rd. Suite 161). You can find more information about volunteering, donation collection hours, items needed, and other details HERE.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JOINING A SERVICE TEAM?
One of the many ways you can partner with us is through serving. Service Teams are the teams of volunteers that make Grace go! Everything that happens at Grace would be impossible without our volunteers. Click HERE to check out our teams and see where you can get plugged in!

GRACE RALEIGH WORSHIP PLAYLIST
Click HERE to check out a Spotify playlist (and HERE for an Amazon Music playlist) of some of our favorite songs to worship with here at Grace – some will be familiar and some are new songs we’ll be worshipping to in the future. We hope this will be a fun and impactful way for us to connect and worship together – not just on Sundays!
